Educational Outreach

The Butler County Symphony is proud of its involvement with the youth of the local community. Various annual programs provide opportunities for young people to attend concerts, audition to play with the orchestra, and see and hear our guest artists in their local schools. These programs, coordinated and organized by Symphony board members, include the Young Artist Competition, Young Musicians of Note, and the Classics Alive program.

We are proud to announce our 29th Annual Young Artist
Competition!

Silent Night Auction

The Butler County Symphony Association holds a "Silent Night Auction"-Basket Extravaganza during the December holiday concert at the Butler Intermediate High School Auditorium. Before Thanksgiving, the theme baskets with values of at least $100 each will be on display and tickets sold at the Symphony office, 259 South Main Street. The baskets are on display during the concert. Winners’ names are pulled and announced during intermission at the 8 pm performance.

The auction is a fund-raising activity of the Symphony Association and helps to offset budget needs of the Symphony Orchestra. To contribute a basket or get more information, call the Symphony office at 724-283-1402.
We accept basket donations throughout the year, provided the contents are non-perishable. Many thanks to our generous sponsors!
